Just this side of heaven is a place called the
Rainbow
Bridge.
When
an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to
Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so
they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable. All
the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who
were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in
our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except
for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be
left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together... Rockatts Apolla
My little Apolla, from my very first litter. I remember the night these little sweethearts were born. Right in the very middle of the night. As Apolla grew up I could just see she was going to be a wonderful example of the breed and hoped she would do well in the show world. I will never forget the day I took you to the airport so you could fly to your new home in Maine. Oh how I cried when I left. Now all too soon my little sweetie has gone and now I cry again. You will be missed by not only by me but by all those whose heart you touched. Good bye sweet Apolla
Vanir Annika of Rockatts
What do I say, oh my gosh how did this happen? Oh my sweet little Annika, it was not so long ago that I got in the car one early November morning to drive to Nebraska to get you. Was it love at first sight, oh yes it was. What a beautiful kitten, what a great example of the breed and later, as you lived with us, we found out just how sweet you were. I can still see you dragging your toy thru the house to bring it to one of us so we could play with you. I wish I could still have you jump up on me and have you just flop over on me so I could pet you. I miss you so much Annika. I will never ever forget the day I had to let you go. It was so sudden and way too soon, I did not get enough time with you, you are still just a baby. I know you understood that I loved you so much I could not let you go on and suffer anymore. You were one of a kind and I will never have any cat like you again. So Annika, with a very heavy heart and tears in my eyes I say Good bye. I love you and I will never forget you. |
