My name is Sondra and my husband is Brian. We have two daughters who share our love for this wonderful breed. As of today we have six Norwegian Forest Cats, three males and three females. I think there is room for one or two more. We also have a large dog. She and the cats get along very well. I have always had cats since I can remember. Several years ago I found a cat show on TV and saw the most gorgeous big cat I had ever seen. You guessed it -- it was a Norwegian Forest Cat. I wrote down the name of the breed and told Brian all about it. That was it for awhile. About two years later, we bought our first home and Brian started looking on the internet for Norwegian Forest Cats. He got in touch with Carli Hakkerup of Gyldenlove in Denmark. As we talked with her more we knew this was the breed for us. As luck would have it, she had the most adorable black and white male kitten available. It was love at first sight! I had to have him. Quake Gyldenlove came to live with us in the United States in May 2000. As a breeder my focus is to produce healthy kittens with wonderful personalities and to preserve the beauty and correct standard of this breed. Our cats, as well as any kittens we have, are raised underfoot and live indoors. Each kitten will be handled from birth and socialized with people as well as the other cats we have and the dog too. All kittens stay with their mothers until they are ready to go to their new homes at the age of 14-16 weeks old. Each kitten will be carefully matched with the new owner so all will be satisfied and happy. Thank you for visiting our website. |
